The Conservatory

The conservatory is situated in Ponda , the Spice and temple town.

 

It is around 4 kms from Sahakari spice farm , 3 kms from Tropical Spice Plantation and 6 kms from Savoi Plantation.

 

Spread over 4000 square metres , the park is recreated to be like a walk  through a typical  tropical forest , replete with streams and  endemic plants.

 

For a place which was once barren and without any natural source of water , come and marvel at the efforts of  some ordinary citizens who have  conjured up this safe haven for butterflies.

 

More than 120 species of butterflies have been photo documented at this place  over the year . It is possible to spot around 25 species on any given day.
